Children fight over trivial things with friends and siblings due the difference in thought standards. Small conflicts can develop into the permanent severance of relationships, or big conflicts can be resolved and develop into even better relationships when the operational mechanism of human mind and psychology is accurately understood. Then, how are conflicts between siblings different from conflicts between friends?
Conflicts between siblings and conflicts between friends are quite different. Siblings are family but friends are not. Friends can split up anytime depending on circumstances, but siblings cannot easily split up with each other even if they are on bad terms. Some siblings end up fighting for their whole life time.
It is important to accurately understand that relationship with friends and siblings are different and adjust and manage each relationship accordingly. When you do not accurately understand the operational mechanism of human mind and psychology, even small conflicts may develop into unwanted breach of relationships.
Conflicts siblings experience during teenage years can develop into conflicts as adults, making resolution even more difficult. It happens when they perceive each other as people who are not family even when they actually are family. Fortunately, they can restore good sibling relationship as they accurately understand that they are in family relationship, differently from relationships with people other than family, and how human mind operates differently in family relationship and other relationships.
