Erika Jayne filing for a divorce Tom Girardi over infidelity

A news of Page Six on December 18th in 2020 reported that the “Real Wives of Beverly Hills” star Erika Jayne's husband Tom Girardi allegedly had multiple cases of infidelity during their 21 years of marriage. Jayne still wanted to save their marriage and tried hard, but she realized that her husband did not put her on priority any more, so she decided on getting a divorce.

The cause of infidelity is relationship addiction and it causes post traumatic stress in the victimized spouse. This basic mechanism applies to everyone regardless of individual's circumstances affecting everyone including people of fame, wealth, and power. Since the problems come from the identical mechanism of human mind and psychology, the identical mechanism of treatment can be applied to solve problems of infidelity and to restore happiness of married couples. Unfortunately, most people including experts of psychology misunderstand about the issue of infidelity thinking that it is the problem of sex, love, and emotions. Such misinterpretations about the issue of infidelity lead to negligence and aggravation of people's psychological conditions instead of restoration and happiness.

Korea Institute of Psycho-education have been trying to guide people to accurately understand the true nature of infidelity along with its causes and the seriousness of the damage caused by it. These days, we see so many people suffering from pain and damage of infidelity and problems associated with it. We are trying to show that anyone can transform a crisis into an opportunity and regain success and happiness in a true sense through accurate understanding and treatment of relationship addiction and post traumatic stress due to spouse infidelity.

In the case described in the news article, the husband seems to have had repeated affairs due to untreated relationship addiction. The wife must have suffered from post traumatic stress but tried hard to save their marriage. However, the husband's repeated affairs must have aggravated the post traumatic stress and she could not bear the situation any more but to decide on a divorce.

This is a common progression of the situation when couples experience spouse infidelity. Unfortunately, when victimized spouses do not treat their post traumatic stress whether they get a divorce or not, they are likely to suffer from pain and difficulties in relationships all throughout their life. However, when they restore healthy psychology by treating post traumatic stress and build happiness ability inside them, they can live an even happier life than before they experienced spouse infidelity.

People in relationship addiction are considered to have a severe psychological disorder damaging people around them in relationships, eventually destroying themselves in the end. They may also have to live unhappily all throughout their life unless they treat relationship addiction.

It is crucial that couples who have experienced spouse infidelity treat relationship addiction and post traumatic stress to live happily again together or separately, with or without divorcing. It is up to you to choose happiness or unhappiness regardless of your circumstance.
