People who easily cry and people who don't

In case of women, those who don't cry easily may do so since they don't have many experiences of intense and overwhelming emotions of joy or sorrow, / or they are suppressing or controlling their emotions after they experienced some difficulties due to their crying. Also, women who grew under tight control of adults tend not to fully recognize or express their emotions. They may not be good at empathizing with other people when they become adults.

In case of men, those who don't cry easily are simply not getting immersed into the present sad situation. Also, when boys are persistently told not to cry during childhood, they tend not to express their sad moods by crying even though they may shed false tears when necessary. On the other hand, men who easily cry may have been repressed very strongly against crying during childhood, which can be reversely activated to make them cry upon the slightest stimulation. These men may respond to stress only by crying without being able to employ other defense mechanisms. When boys grow under strict control against expressing emotions, they become vulnerable to stress in general employing diverse defense mechanisms including crying or attacking others.

After all, crying is a means for generously expressing our emotions, and we can analyze the operation of psychology by observing when and how people cry or not cry.
