Psychological problems vs. psychological disorders

Many psychology treatment methods are applied without considering the distinction between psychological problems and psychological disorders resulting in adverse side effects.

When you suffer from psychological pain, an exact diagnosis must precede to determine the condition. For example, psychology counseling may be effective for psychological problems, but not for psychological disorders.

Psychological problems can be compared to having a cold and psychological disorders to having a flu, pneumonia, or lung cancer. Adopting psychology counseling to treat psychological disorders may be not only ineffective but also detrimental.

It may aggravate the condition or develop another type of psychological disorder on top of the existing one ruining the life of your own and people around you.
