Person and PIR (person in relationships) are
distinguished by man and woman. Everyone knows this fact. Even young children
know it. However, in many cases, we live without knowing whether we are men or
women.
You do not contemplate whether you are a man or a woman.
If you hear this, you would think 'I do distinguish a man and a woman,' but it
is distinguishing a man and a woman by looking at an appearance or physical
body. However, you never knew that men and women are distinguished not only by
the appearance of the body but also by
the difference in mind and psychology as well. You probably have heard that men
and women are psychologically different. You do not know how
specifically man's and woman's minds are different and by which principle they
are different; so do experts.
Like this, most people distinguish a man and a woman by
appearance and body but not by mind and psychology. Because they do not know
the principle of mind and psychology, they do not understand each other and get
stress and wounds. At this point, stress and wounds can be healed only by
understanding man's and woman's mind and psychology.
As you already
know, the mind is comprised of the conscious and the unconscious. In this book,
the unconscious is newly defined in a way that is different from the
unconscious in conventional psychological theories. It doesn’t mean that those
psychological theories are incorrect. In the theory of mimind and the theory of
xesmind, we have newly organized the concept of the unconscious which is the
foundation of mind and psychology. I will not explain the psychological theory
in detail, but you only need to know that the unconscious mentioned here is
different from the conventional concept discussed in other psychological
theories.
It is a completely new perspective
on the unconscious. The unconscious is the operation of energy that allows the
thoughts to be felt by the conscious. So, the unconscious doesn’t exist
concretely and cannot be felt. The conscious that is operated by the
unconscious involves one’s life experience, knowledge and memory of things that
one saw, heard, and felt in the brain. The conscious integrates perception
coming through five sensory organs, recognizes and feels them. When the
unconscious operates, the conscious operates as well and recognizes the
thoughts or feels through the body. The unconscious is the energy that makes
the conscious feel. At this point, the unconscious does not only make the
conscious feel but also externally express the mind. Person and PIR use
different mechanisms for the perception of external information and for the
expression of the mind.
You probably never thought about the difference
between the perception of external information and the external expression of
the mind. A person needs to formulate a thought in order to study, experience,
and perceive something. Receiving something from the outside is called perception.
Something that is perceived can be felt as a thought.
You,
your parents, children, husband, and teachers are all a person and a PIR at the
same time. All human beings perceive external information through five sensory
organs only. So, the human body is comprised of five sensory organs that
deliver external information to the mind. All external information comes in
through five sensory organs. When the external information is received by the
mind, the conscious recognizes it as a thought, remembers some and discards the
rest. For your information, perception is not the same as the conscious.
Perception is the act of receiving external information as a thought whereas
the conscious is the recognition of the thought.
However,
the external expression of the mind is a bit different. How much of perception
do you think you consciously think and express externally? The external
information is received by five sensory organs into the mind, but the mind is
expressed only through three outlets, speech, actions, and facial expressions.
When the mind is expressed through speech, actions, and facial expressions, the
unconscious operates. The conscious or thoughts are not operating during the
expression of the mind.
When
the external information is received by the mind, the conscious thoughts
operate. However, the unconscious operates when the mind is expressed
externally. You have probably never thought or heard about this operation.
Think
about it yourself. When you express through speech, actions and facial expressions,
you probably don’t intend to say something or meticulously weigh every word.
Mostly, you express things unconsciously through speech, actions and facial
expressions. It is because the unconscious is in charge of the expression of
the mind.
To sum up, the conscious thinking
process is involved in the perception of external information whereas the
unconscious operates during the external expression of the mind. This is a human
being’s greatest gift, but also a cause of problems and conflicts in human
relationships, inducing stress and wounds. The fact that perception and
expression are separately controlled by the conscious and the unconscious is
the greatest gift, strength, and ability that is unique to human beings. Of
course, it also causes the worst type of conflict and misunderstanding in our
life.
